The eID card for citizens of the EU and the EEA

Citizens of the EU and the EEA can apply for an eID card from 16 years of age. The eID card enables you to prove your identity easily and securely online and to perform business and government transactions electronically. You will need a valid identity document from your home country to apply for an eID card for citizens of the EU and the EEA.
